Fieldwork is a small scale Coffee Roaster in Abbotsford, Melbourne. Formerly operating as Bureaux Coffee, we were keen to shift to something more approachable, that represented what’s important to the brand; a recognition of the agricultural foundations of the things they enjoy; milk, bread, fresh produce, and chief among them — coffee.
This was about creating a transparent, human brand that befitted its neighbourhood setting, championed the best coffees in the world and in doing so, respectfully represented the people who’ve grown them. A clear typographic system and stripped back colour palette for product packaging simplified the consumer buying process. Whilst the logotype sits at the bottom of the output, subtly under-pining the content above.
Working with Studio Thomas was a great experience, and we hope that the relationship continues. Beyond compiling a redesigned set of visuals for us, the process uncovered and helped to focus who we are as a brand and what we’re here to achieve.
