The Hardihood make cakes like you've never seen or tasted before. A marbling of raw and natural ingredients formed into satisfying squares and circles. Half food, half art, the challenge was to create an identity which would sensitively frame the Hardihood's products and package them for their growing list of stockists and customers.
It felt right that the visual identity should reflect the cakes themselves. The contrast of clean, straight geometric forms together with natural and flowing textures. This to us was the key to the Hardihood's aesthetic and tone.
The grid is used as the main structural element, then softened with the introduction of printed and marbled textures. This with a muted approach to colour mean the cakes rightly remain the centre of attention.
